Job Description

Position Overview:
A Mechanic Helper at Baxter Residential Elevators supports the installation, maintenance, and repair of accessibility equipment such as elevators, platform lifts, and stairlifts. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in the vertical transportation industry. Key Responsibilities Assist with
Equipment Installation :
Support the setup of elevators and lifts by helping with assembly, alignment, and securing of components.
Maintenance Support :
Aid in routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Troubleshooting Assistance :
Help diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues under the supervision of experienced technicians.
Worksite Preparation :
Prepare and maintain clean and organized work areas, ensuring tools and materials are readily available.
Documentation :
Assist in recording maintenance activities, parts used, and any issues encountered during service calls.
Qualifications Education :
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience :
Previous experience in a mechanical or construction role is advantageous but not required.
Skills :
Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, ability to use hand and power tools, and capability to read technical manuals and schematics.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs, work at heights, and stand for extended periods.
Other Requirements :
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, willingness to travel for out-of-town assignments, and commitment to safety protocols.
Pay:
From $18.00 per hour
