Job Description

Job Description This role focuses on performing light to complex mechanical and electronic assembly tasks, including the repair, assembly, and disassembly of various devices. You will use a wide range of hand and power tools, carry out hand soldering, and work from process instructions, blueprints, drawings, and schematics to build high-quality products. In addition to hands-on assembly, you will help ensure production goals are met, quality standards are maintained, and safety practices are consistently followed. Responsibilities Perform light to complex mechanical assembly and electronic assembly tasks as assigned. Assemble, disassemble, and repair various devices in accordance with process instructions and engineering specifications. Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and power tools, including drills and rivet guns, to complete assemblies. Perform hand soldering of electrical components and connections as required. Interpret and follow process instructions, blueprints, drawings, and schematics accurately. Position and fasten units to assemblies and subassemblies using appropriate tools and methods. Fasten and route cables and wiring within assemblies to meet design and quality requirements. Adjust, grind, or modify parts as needed to ensure proper fit and function. Inspect and test completed units to verify they meet quality and performance standards. Perform quality work checks throughout the assembly process to ensure compliance with specifications and

standards. Rework and repair assembled equipment and products based on engineering specification changes. Test finished products and document results as required. Work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance while maintaining high quality and productivity. Supervise and support the mechanical assembly team, including rework personnel, ensuring effective coordination and performance. Ensure daily and weekly production schedules are met efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards. Monitor workflow, assign tasks, and adjust priorities as needed to meet production demands. Train, coach, and mentor assembly staff to help them meet performance expectations and improve their skills. Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area. Identify and address quality issues promptly, ensuring adherence to

requirements. Collaborate with engineering, quality, logistics, and other departments to resolve issues and improve processes. Walk the shop floor regularly to observe operations, support team members, and ensure safe work practices. Lift and handle components and assemblies weighing up to 20 pounds as part of daily tasks. Essential Skills Proven experience in mechanical assembly and electronic assembly in a production or manufacturing environment. Ability to perform hand soldering of electrical components safely and accurately. Proficiency with hand tools such as screwdrivers and wrenches, and power tools such as drills and rivet guns. Ability to read and interpret process instructions, blueprints, drawings, and schematics. Knowledge of

standards and the ability to apply them to assembly and quality work. Experience performing quality checks, inspections, and testing of completed units. Capability to perform rework and repair on assembled equipment based on engineering changes. Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal supervision. Strong organizational skills to monitor workflow, assign tasks, and adjust priorities as needed. Experience training, coaching, or mentoring assembly staff in a production setting. Commitment to enforcing safety protocols and maintaining a clean, organized work environment. Physical ability to walk the shop floor and lift up to 20 pounds safely. Willingness to work overtime, including frequent overtime through the end of the year, as needed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richardson, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
