Job Description

What Youll DoYoull take hydraulic cylinders that have been machined and repaired and bring them back to life. This role is hands-on, detail-driven, and critical to delivering reliable, leak-free cylinders that are ready to go back into service.

If you take pride in building things the right way, catching issues before they become problems, and producing work youd stand behind, this is your lane.

What This Role Looks Like Day-to-DayTear down and rebuild hydraulic cylinders, rods, pistons, glands, seals, and related componentsInstall seal kits with the right orientation, lubrication, and fit, no shortcutsVerify all parts meet spec before assembly, if somethings off, you catch itApply proper torque, fastener methods, and assembly techniques per standardsPerform alignment and fit checks to ensure smooth operation and long-term durabilityConduct functional checks including stroke verification and pre-test inspectionsSupport pressure testing and leak detection to ensure cylinders are service-readyPull parts, match to bill of materials, and confirm everything lines up before buildClean, inspect, and prep components, including removing debris or weld splatterInstall valves, plugs, and stamp components to match job tracking requirementsUse tools like torque wrenches, presses, and lifting equipment safely and effectivelyKeep your workspace clean and controlled, contamination matters in this workWhat Makes You a Strong FitYou know hydraulic cylinders or heavy mechanical assembly, and youve done it hands-onYou can read prints, work instructions, and parts breakdowns without guessingYou understand tolerances, fits, and why the small details matterYoure comfortable working with large components (up to 2,000 lbs and 15 ft)You can measure accurately using calipers, micrometers, and tape measuresYouve got solid math skills, fractions, decimals, and real-world applicationYou can keep up in a production environment without cutting cornersExperience Were Looking ForHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus2 or more years working with hydraulic cylinders, heavy equipment repair, or similar5 or more years of mechanical assembly/disassembly experience preferredExperience with cylinder testing methods is a plusForklift experience is a plusHow Youll Contribute Beyond the BuildWork closely with machinists, quality, and engineering to solve fit-up or quality issuesHelp identify root causes and support corrective actionsShare your knowledge and help train newer team membersSet the standard for workmanship and accountability on the floorWork EnvironmentThis is a manufacturing environment. Youll be working around moving equipment, loud noise, and occasionally wet or humid conditions.

Physical RequirementsRegularly lift and move up to 50 lbsWork with hands, tools, and equipment throughout the shiftOccasionally stand, walk, kneel, or crouch as needed
