Maintenance Mechanic Job Description We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic with a background in industrial or commercial settings and a strong mechanical aptitude. The ideal candidate will excel in breakdowns, repairs, replacements, and installations of industrial maintenance equipment and machinery. Responsibilities also include teardown, staging, setup, assembly, and disassembly tasks, as well as assisting with conveyor systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics. Additionally, you will be involved in building structures that house various watercraft vehicles, facilitating their movement in and out of the water. Responsibilities Break down, repair, replace, and install industrial maintenance equipment and machinery. Perform teardown, staging, setup, assembly, and disassembly tasks. Assist with maintenance of conveyor systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics. Build structures for housing and transporting watercraft vehicles. Troubleshoot and resolve issues using blueprints and schematics. Essential Skills Strong mechanical aptitude and experience in industrial or commercial maintenance. Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, and maintenance technician roles. Experience with hydraulics, industrial electricians, and mechanics. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Troubleshooting skills in pneumatics and terminators. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working at Huntington Ingles. Knowledge of industrial and mechanical electrical systems. The standard work hours are from 6 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with most Saturdays required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Suffolk, Virginia.
