Position Summary:

The Assembly Mechanic is responsible for following procedures for product assembly, fabrication, equipment operation and safety requirements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Use a variety of tools and equipment to assemble product according to required specifications and procedures. This includes drilling, edge fill, bonding, mechanical fasteners and fiberglass prepreg,
• Responsible for the quality of the product.
• Responsible for tool accountability and maintenance within the Assemble area.
• Responsible for keeping the work area clean and safe.
• Very minimal guidance required to accomplish tasks.
• Any other duties assigned by a lead and/or Senior Assembly Mechanic.

Knowledge/Experience

• High School education or GED.
• Typically 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably related to aerospace Skills/Abilities
• Ability to communicate orally with others
• Troubleshooting/problem solving
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task effectively, and work under pressure
• Able to perform basic mathematic calculations
• Understanding of customer's expectations
• Understand drawings, specification and follow written procedures.

Working Conditions:

• Manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Some bending, climbing, grasping and lifting.
• Occasional lifting of up to 35 pounds.
• Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for safe conduct on the manufacturing floor and to meet job responsibilities.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.24 - $28.56/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
