Direct Hire |Shift:
2nd Shift A day in this role You clock in for second shift and take a quick handoff from first-shift maintenance. A line has a subtle vibration—before it becomes downtime, you trace it to a worn coupling, pull the schematics, and make a clean swap. Later, a pneumatic actuator hesitates; you chase the issue through air supply, valves, and sensors, restoring cycle speed. Between calls, you close out planned PMs in the CMMS, inspect guarding, and tune alignments so production can hit targets. Before the night is over, you partner with the operators to optimize a changeover, document your work, and set the next team up for success. What you'll tackle Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on production machinery Execute preventive maintenance and respond to urgent breakdowns to minimize downtime Install, modify, and optimize equipment using prints, layouts, and schematics Replace components, adjust alignments, and fine‑tune performance on high‑speed systems Log all work and parts usage in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Collaborate closely with production to keep lines running safely and efficiently What you bring Solid background in industrial maintenance and troubleshooting of production equipment Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems Ability to interpret mechanical schematics and apply them on the floor Comfort operating in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment; able to lift up to 50 lbs Willingness to work in hot/humid conditions when needed Why you'll like it here Competitive, steady pay with reliable hours Long weekends thanks to half‑day Fridays Clean, organized manufacturing setting Chance to work across diverse, high‑speed equipmentSimilar jobs in Milwaukee, WI
