Industrial Piping Specialist

About the Role As an Industrial Piping Specialist, you will play a critical role in the integrity and efficiency of our mechanical infrastructure by installing, fabricating, and maintaining complex piping systems. You will utilize your expertise in blueprint reading and system diagnostics to ensure high-pressure hydraulic and steam systems operate at peak performance, directly impacting plant uptime and operational safety. Responsibilities Interpret technical blueprints and schematics to layout, cut, and fabricate precise piping configurations, including valves, regulators, and traps. Execute proactive maintenance and emergency repairs on high-pressure hydraulic systems, boilers, and steam-jacketed pressure vessels. Optimize system reliability by evaluating equipment condition to determine the most cost-effective path between repair, salvage, or replacement. Operate specialized industrial equipment, including overhead cranes and various hand tools, to complete complex installations safely. Collaborate across maintenance departments to support cross-functional projects and minimize operational downtime. Document maintenance activities and perform root cause analysis to improve long-term system performance. Qualifications Required Skills High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 4 years of experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment. Proven ability to read and interpret complex mechanical blueprints. Proficiency with industrial tools, including lifting equipment and precision measuring devices. Valid driver's license and ability to work in diverse environments, including heights and confined spaces. Preferred Skills Technical certification or specialized training in boiler operation and troubleshooting. Experience with HVAC maintenance and heavy equipment systems. Strong background in hydraulic and pneumatic system repair. Demonstrated ability to perform preventative maintenance in high-pressure settings.
