Seasonal Parks Maintenance Worker

Box 531), Wrangell, AK 99929, or online at www.wrangell.com/jobs Position Summary This is a part-time seasonal, hourly position without benefits. Pay is set at Grade 9. The City and Borough of Wrangell is seeking a reliable and motivated Seasonal Parks Maintenance Worker to support the upkeep of parks, trails, recreational facilities, and public spaces. This position plays an important role in keeping community areas clean, safe, and welcoming for residents and visitors. Minimum Requirements Perform routine grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, pruning, and brush removal Clean and maintain park facilities such as shelters, restrooms, and public areas Assist with landscaping activities including planting and general site upkeep Perform basic repairs, painting, and maintenance of park structures and equipment Operate tools and equipment such as mowers, weed eaters, chainsaws, and small tractors Maintain trails, cemeteries, ball fields, and recreational areas Remove litter and debris to ensure safe and attractive public spaces Assist with cemetery operations, including preparation of burial sites Support other maintenance projects and duties as assigned Application Process Completed applications must be submitted to Megan Powell at Wrangell City Hall, 205 Brueger Street (P.O.
