In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning, custodial, and maintenance tasks across our facility. Your proactive approach will help create a welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and our congregation. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment. Conduct routine janitorial duties such as trash removal, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold hygiene standards. Carry out floor care activities including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain a professional appearance. Assist with custodial tasks related to commercial cleaning projects as needed, ensuring high-quality results. Support facilities maintenance by identifying repair needs such as plumbing leaks, electrical issues, or structural concerns and reporting them promptly. Perform light residential painting tasks or touch-ups to keep interior spaces looking fresh and well-maintained. Use industrial cleaning equipment for specialized cleaning tasks in large or high-traffic areas to ensure safety and cleanliness. Skills Experience in cleaning and janitorial services within commercial or residential settings. Custodial background with knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and waxing. Familiarity with cleaning tools and equipment for efficient maintenance tasks. Ability to perform basic facilities maintenance repairs or assist maintenance staff with troubleshooting issues. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on health, safety, and sanitation standards. Good physical stamina for standing, walking, lifting heavy objects, and performing manual tasks throughout the shift.
