Job Description
Job Summary The Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance, repair, and upkeeps of facilities, equipment, and furnishings. Job Description
- Maintains assigned area of the facility.
- Performs preventative maintenance including fire extinguisher maintenance on equipment throughout the facility.
- Ensures proper working condition of doors and windows; makes emergency repairs as necessary.
- Performs minor carpentry and other construction work as necessary.
- Responds to maintenance emergencies.
- Moves and assembles furniture.
- Inspects buildings, facilities, and equipment to ascertain needed repairs; makes or recommends repairs or alterations as needed.
- Picks up trash in customer and employee service areas and on the exterior of the building at the customer entrances and parking lots, including parking structures. Transports trash to the disposal area. Ensures that recyclables are recycled
- Prepares interior and exterior hand railings by washing, scraping, or sanding.
- Assists with set-ups of furniture and equipment for events on and off the casino site.
- Assists skilled trades as needed.
- Repairs, relocates, and cleans gaming tables.
- Extracts upholstery on chairs and couches and extracts and spin buffs carpets.
- Cleans and polishes windows, brass, and plexiglass.
- Cleans television screens, cabinets, and mountings
- Unpacks/displays promotional items/giveaways.
- Ensures that a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment is maintained.
- Adheres to all company and department policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Does not provide supervision to other team members.
- California driver's license required.
- Must be age 21 years of age or older.
- Knowledge and proper use and maintenance of hand and power tools related to job functions.
- Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a professional high-pressure environment while demonstrating and maintaining good personal relation/people skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to multitask and work well under stress.
- Must be a self-starter and able to adjust to change.
- Must be able to work flexible hours during the day or evening including weekends, holidays, and all blackout dates.
