Maintenance Assistant (Live on Site)

As the onsite Maintenance Assistant and a member of camp staff, you set the standard for members attending camp. The exchange of ideas among members and staff should inspire campers to grow as individuals and leaders. This position will start on a trial basis with the possibility of conversion to full-time with benefits. Possess qualified maintenance assistant experience and leadership skills in both maintenance and cleaning of a camp kitchen and facility. Must be able to work fast yet diligently with a focus on consistency while staying open to direction from the maintenance manager who sets projects and reviews what needs to be done.

Location:

Camp Conrad Chinnock, 4700 Jenks Lake Road East in Angelus Oaks, Calif 92305, located at 7,000 ft. elevation in the San Bernardino mountains in Southern California.

Essential Duties and Responsibility:

Maintaining our eight-acre campgrounds includes maintenance, sanitation, cleaning, and basic repair knowledge Maintain cleanliness of all cabins, kitchens, bathrooms, and outside ears on a daily and weekly basis Cleaning may include but is not limited to cleaning out toilets, sinks, showers, taking out trash, and sweeping/moping floors Fix any maintenance issue that may include hammering, plumbing, changing lights, and more Respond quickly and efficiently to any emergency issues and priority duties Display a strong work ethic Excellent time management skills in completing all daily tasks and cleaning

Requirements:

Effectively communicate and take direction to keep the facility clean and in good working order Nonsmoker and no drugs Must be at least 18 years of age or older Driver's License required Authorized to work in the US for any employer Must live on site of camping facility (Included in compensation)
