Company Overview Westview Healthcare Center is a short-term rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility located in Auburn, California. We are committed to delivering personalized rehabilitation and nursing services in a caring and supportive environment, helping our residents achieve their maximum potential through dedicated healthcare professionals. Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis. In this vital role, you will support the upkeep and smooth operation of our healthcare facility by performing diverse maintenance tasks, ensuring safety, functionality, and comfort for residents and staff alike. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance skills to contribute to a meaningful environment. Responsibilities Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs across the facility, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and general building upkeep Use schematics, technical manuals, and diagrams to troubleshoot issues effectively Conduct welding, residential painting, and other handyman tasks as needed to maintain the facility's appearance and safety standards Operate tools such as ohmmeters and other testing equipment to diagnose electrical problems Supervise or assist with projects involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automated systems Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) Support manufacturing or production-related equipment if applicable within the facility Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related roles within healthcare, manufacturing, or residential settings Strong mechanical knowledge coupled with electrical experience and familiarity with schematics Hands-on welding skills and residential painting experience are highly desirable Supervising or leadership experience in maintenance teams is preferred Ability to communicate effectively in English with team members and vendors Knowledge of CMMS software for work order management and documentation Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools is advantageous Join us to make a difference by maintaining a safe, efficient environment that enhances the quality of life for our residents. Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
