Job Description

Reports to:
Administrator & Maintenance Supervisor Schedule:
Sunday - Thursday 9:00am - 5:30pm Position Summary Seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the daily upkeep of the community's building and grounds. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Assistant performs routine repairs, completes assigned work orders. Essential Responsibilities Complete routine maintenance and repair work orders, including basic plumbing and electrical repairs, painting, drywall patching, fixtures, filters, and general fixes. Assist with room turns to prepare units for incoming residents, including patching, painting, flooring repair, and make-ready work. Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with larger projects and preventive maintenance activities. Assist in conducting and documenting fire and disaster drills as required. Monitor and record resident-area water temperatures and complete additional safety checks required under Title 22. Maintain common areas, grounds, and equipment in a clean, safe, and operational condition. Respond promptly and professionally to resident and staff maintenance requests. Report conditions beyond the scope of the position to the Maintenance Supervisor for timely resolution. Maintain accurate work-order and inspection logs. Qualifications Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge and practical general repair skills. Demonstrated ability to perform room turns, painting, and flooring repair. Prior maintenance, facilities, or related experience preferred. Willingness to learn and apply Title 22 / RCFE safety requirements. Dependable and organized, with the ability to follow instructions and maintain documentation. A professional, patient, service-oriented demeanor when working around an elderly resident population. Ability to lift, climb, and perform physical labor; valid California driver's license preferred. Must pass a Live Scan fingerprint background clearance (FBI and California Department of Justice) and complete a health screening as required for RCFE staff.
Pay:
$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
