To be considered, please apply here: https://www.calopps.org/foster-city/job-20753266 The City of Foster City is recruiting for apart-time Public Works Maintenance Worker in the Public Works Department. The is a part-time non-benefited position. Work hours will vary and will be scheduled based on operational needs, which may include up to approximately 20 hours per week depending on department requirements. Important and Essential Responsibilities Operates hand and power tools, light and heavy construction equipment and specialized wastewater equipment. Handles and applies chemicals. Maintains, operates, inspects, repairs and installs water distribution system facilities including piping, storage tanks, meters, hydrants, valves, pressure reducing stations, pumping stations, pumps, controls, measuring devices, cathodic protection systems, communication systems, and related appurtenances.
Education and Training Guidelines:
Any combination equivalent to experience and education that could likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities would be qualifying.
A typical way would be:
Completion of a job or technical training program in maintenance or construction; completion of high school or the equivalent. One year of experience in general maintenance or construction.
Licenses, Certificates, Registration:
Possession of a valid California Class "C" Driver's License and maintain license and a good driving record.
