Maintenance Assistant

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to join our dynamic facilities team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our residential and manufacturing environments. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and well-functioning facility by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting various repair projects. Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, machinery, and equipment using schematics, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals. Perform repairs involving welding, electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical tasks to resolve issues promptly. Assist with residential painting projects and general facilities upkeep to enhance the appearance and safety of the property. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule future tasks. Support supervising staff by assisting in coordinating maintenance activities and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Respond effectively to emergency repairs or urgent maintenance requests to minimize downtime or safety hazards. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field within hospitals, skilled nursing homes or residential settings, preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by electrical experience, including working with schematics and troubleshooting electrical systems. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English both verbally and in writing.

Pay:

$20.00 - $21.00 per hour
