Forklift Groundskeeping Driver's License Full Job Description SUMMARY:
This position maintains, repairs, and cleans internal and external structures and equipment of buildings and grounds This individual has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assess the current condition of air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, and other essential facilities, and equipment. Keep management informed of the condition of equipment. Maintain the efficiency and good working conditions of the facilities Ensure continual evaluation of the facilities. Interface with appropriate staff/managers to receive information regarding facilities' needs; ensure timely response to requests. Maintain the companies' physical operations including but not limited to refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, kitchen equipment, plumbing, water treatment, and electric systems. Maintain and repair wood parts of buildings Clean, repair and maintain facilities. This includes, but not limited to painting, watering plants and grass, coordinating tree and shrub trimming, landscaping, maintaining sidewalks, and driveways, roof, door, and security locks, etc. Clean lunchroom, dispose of trash, vacuum, maintain cleanliness of bathrooms, clean kitchen, refrigerators, and microwave, etc. Be involved in maintaining the safety of the building from fire, flood, and other hazards and may initiate active safety measures in the building. Manage pest control service and pest control on the premises Ensure that all properties are properly insured to protect the interest of the company from loss. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, sprinters, and small and large box trucks. Prepare accurate and timely reports and/or logs as required. Service and/or log the certification of the compressor, ejection pumps, and air exchange filters. Inspect fire extinguishers on a scheduled basis. Maintain fleet vehicles, including DMV records.. May drive vehicles from and/or to locations. Comply with all regulations pertaining to area. Review facility contracts and makes recommendations to senior management. Order supplies and ensure there is an adequate stock of supplies on hand. Keep upper management informed of any issues that might affect the financial well-being of the company. Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience •Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school required or Three (3) years of related experience and/or training; or Equivalent combination of education and experience to meet the functions of the position. A valid Driver's license is required. Possess or be willing to obtain a forklift certificate. Skills and Abilities Ability to perform duties under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner. Ability to create a schedule for reoccurring tasks such as inspecting the property and grounds, inspecting fire extinguishers, maintaining fleet vehicle service and registration, etc. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-faceted and customer service-oriented environment. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, including front-line management, supervisors, staff, and maintenance vendors. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work as a team, interact with others in a professional/pleasant manner and exercise problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Must be able to organize the workload, work orders, and multiple tasks with attention being paid to priorities and changing assignments. Demonstrate familiarity with Microsoft office products.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIORNMENT
Facility is a two-story building with production on the first floor, administration, and engineering on the second floor. Continually required to sit, stand, walk Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity Continually required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl Continually required to talk or hear Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read, and follow instructions. Sporadically required to lift, push, and carry items up to 50 pounds. Occasionally work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals May be exposed to outside weather conditions
Pay:
$25.74 - $30.00 per hour
