Tulare County, California Position Overview:
Living Water Clinic - Clinica Agua Viva is seeking a dependable and hardworking General Maintenance & Grounds Assistant to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our healthcare facilities. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining organized and functional spaces, and is willing to learn basic facility maintenance skills. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to assist with a variety of indoor and outdoor maintenance tasks. Previous experience in maintenance, landscaping, janitorial services, or construction is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
Perform general landscaping and groundskeeping duties including mowing, trimming, watering, and weed removal. Assist with painting, touch-up work, and minor building repairs. Maintain facility cleanliness through sweeping, pressure washing, trash removal, and outdoor cleanup. Support basic plumbing or fixture replacement projects as directed. Assist with moving furniture, office setup, and departmental support tasks. Monitor clinic facilities for cleanliness, safety, and maintenance concerns. Restock supplies and assist departments with operational needs as needed. Support seasonal projects, clinic events, and facility improvement initiatives. Report maintenance concerns or repair needs to supervisors promptly. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in maintenance, landscaping, janitorial, construction, or related fields preferred but not required. Reliable transportation required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to safely operate common hand and power tools. Strong attendance, punctuality, and dependability. Ability to work independently and follow instructions effectively. Willingness to learn and assist with a variety of facility maintenance tasks.
Personal Qualities:
Positive attitude with a strong work ethic. Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to help others. Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented. Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
Skills:
Basic handyman and maintenance knowledge preferred. Landscaping and groundskeeping experience preferred. Basic painting and repair skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively. Strong communication and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical labor for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday Day Shift Occasional overtime or weekend projects may be available.
