Job Details Description General Maintenance Worker Valley Presbyterian Hospital Keep Our Hospital Running Safely & Efficiently At Valley Presbyterian Hospital, our Facilities team plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and fully operational environment for patients and staff. We're seeking a skilled General Maintenance Worker to support equipment maintenance, repairs, and facility operations across the hospital. What You'll Do Perform maintenance and minor repairs on equipment including motors, pumps, fans, and filters Support electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical system maintenance Assist with installation and repair of fixtures (lighting, sinks, toilets, faucets) Maintain and stock maintenance supplies within budget guidelines Support painting, wall repairs, and general facility upkeep Maintain cleanliness of plant areas, supply rooms, and equipment Assist other trades (plumbing, electrical, etc.) as needed Perform safety checks and isolation room testing Ensure compliance with PPE, safety standards, and hospital policies Transport and move equipment or furniture as needed What You Bring 2+ years of maintenance or facilities experience (hospital setting preferred) Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems Understanding of motors, pumps, and mechanical equipment Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs Strong attention to safety and detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Requirements Combination of education and experience in maintenance or mechanical repair Current CPR/BLS certification Ability to obtain LA City Fire Card within 30 days Why VPH Mission-driven healthcare organization Critical role supporting hospital operations and patient safety Collaborative and team-oriented environment Opportunity to grow in facilities and maintenance operations Apply today to help maintain a safe and efficient environment at VPH.
