Landscape Irrigation Maintenance Worker, Monterey Park, CA, Pay Rate $22.70, 1st shift

Landscaping Maintenance Pay rate: $22.70/hr.

Monterey Park, CA Shifts:

Part time 5:30am start •

MONDAY, TUESDAY & WEDNESDAYTHEN THE SCHEDULE ALTERANTATES FRIDAY, SATURDAY & SUNDAY OR SATURDAY, SUNDAY & MONDAY

•Must have at least 3-4 years of recent experience and MUST be available Nights, Weekends, and Holidays•

KEY RESPONIBILITIES

Instalment of sprinklers (irrigation) Cleaning and maintenance of City streets, maintain City Parks, restrooms, picnic areas and pavilions, softball/Little League fields, and/or other City buildings and facilities May operate hedge trimmer, hand blower, Empty Trash Cans, sprayers, blowers, trimmers, edger's, another light equipment; may operate backhoes, jack hammer, skip loader, asphalt roller and other medium-duty equipment as assigned Assist in the preparation of takes part in the pouring and finishing of concrete slabs and walks; performs unskilled and semi-skilled labor in construction and maintenance of City buildings, parks, streets and street components; hauls, spreads and rakes asphalt for new or repaired thoroughfares Set up equipment and barriers Perform traffic painting tasks; installs and maintains warning and directional signs; maintains manholes, sewers and storm drains. Individuals in this classification may be assigned to work independently and may be required to work evenings and/or weekends and are subject to call-back at various times. Also, individuals in this position may be required to be on stand-by and available for callback. This position may be required to work nights, weekends and/or holidays.

QUALIFICATIONS

: Knowledge of basic landscape methods, equipment, materials, hand tools, power tools, and equipment pertaining to park landscape needs, street maintenance; safe work practices.

Skills/Abilities :

Ability to follow written and oral instructions; perform manual labor; perform semi-skilled duties; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Education and Experience Required:

Completion of high school education or

GED. 2-3

Years of Landscaping experience Experience in landscaping, some construction, maintenance work or related labor MUST have experience with irrigation Licenses possession of a valid CA driver's license and a satisfactory driving record is

Required Physical Effort:
