Maintenance Laborer

Summary:

The Maintenance Laborer is responsible for maintaining landscape design integrity by removing weeds and dead plants, trim overgrown hedges, and shrubs to ensure American Landscape and Maintenance, Inc. customers have a beautiful and healthy outdoor environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform general maintenance duties such as removing weeds and trimming overgrown shrubs Conduct minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in groundskeeping Utilize pesticides Efficiently apply fertilizer to property grounds to enhance growth Safely cut grounds using hand, power or riding mower for trimming edges around walkways, flower beds, and walls Monitor property grounds to ensure a pleasant appearance

Qualifications:

Must be able to tolerate various weather conditions while working outside. Able to bend, kneel, stop, kneel, walk between 8-12 hours per day. Ability to work independently and in team settings. Must be able to work in various terrains, including hillsides.

Physical Demands:

Stand and walk for extended periods of time Ability to frequently move supplies of up to 50 pounds Able to bend, kneel, stop, kneel, walk up to 8 hours per day Must be able to carry a 5-gal backpack sprayer Must be able to work in various terrains, including hillsides. Must be able to tolerate various weather conditions while working outside

Work Environment:

Exposed to moving mechanical parts. Regularly performing outside duties in various weather conditions.
