Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a floating Apartment Maintenance Technician and play a vital role in ensuring our residential communities are safe, functional, and welcoming. In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of building systems, appliances, and fixtures to uphold the highest standards of quality and resident satisfaction. Your expertise will help create a comfortable living environment for residents while supporting the overall operations of the property. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, and appliances to ensure optimal operation. Troubleshoot and repair issues related to plumbing leaks, electrical faults, HVAC malfunctions, and mechanical failures using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Conduct residential painting, drywall repairs, carpentry work, and other general repairs to maintain property aesthetics and safety standards. Use tools and other diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve maintenance issues efficiently. Supervise or assist with small team projects or contractors during larger repairs or renovations while ensuring safety compliance. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance or residential property repair with a strong background in mechanical systems, electrical work, or manufacturing environments. Demonstrated knowledge of schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex systems. Hands-on experience with welding techniques and residential painting is highly desirable. Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Ohmmeters, CMMS software, and electrical testing tools is preferred. Supervising or leadership experience in maintenance teams or projects is a plus. Strong communication skills in English to clearly document work orders and interact professionally with residents and team members. Ability to interpret technical schematics and perform facilities maintenance tasks independently or as part of a team.
Pay:
$17.00 - $25.00 per hour People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
