Hourly Salary Range:
$20.50 - $23.00 per hour. Primary Responsibilities Facilities Assistance Assist in identifying needed building and ground maintenance on diocesan property and Bishop's residence Cooperate with building security efforts (building and gate lock-up) Assist maintenance team with minor/moderate repairs General cleaning of office spaces and common areas throughout the building including meeting rooms, rest rooms and kitchens Emptying waste baskets Vacuuming carpet and mopping floors Disposing of other discarded items Occasional removal of furniture, carpet and wall stains Central Services Assistance Assist with mail pick up from main post office each morning Sort all incoming mail and place in appropriate office mailboxes Process outgoing mail from all offices Maintain supply of copier paper and ensure paper is stocked at all copiers Meeting Services Assistance Assist with conference room set up, break-down and cleaning Assist with transport and set up for Bishop's events Update daily room reservation signs throughout the building Assist with various diocesan event set up and break-down Assist at main reception desk when necessary
Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to multi-task effectively and in a fast-paced environment Outgoing, friendly and Organizational skills Knowledge of basic maintenance and repairs Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (WORD, EXCEL, etc.) Effective communication and interpersonal skills Service orientation Some familiarity with the structure and practices of the Catholic Church Education and Experience High School Graduate Familiarity with commercial maintenance procedures Familiarity with mechanical systems and controls is a plus. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to perform moderate to heavy manual labor including frequent bending, walking and lifting up to 50 pounds. The employee is required to be mobile to, from, and within the pastoral center, as well as maneuver throughout the facility to attend meetings, briefings, and other work-related events. The employee may be required to conduct trips to, from, and within various city and county-wide locations to attend meetings or events.
