Maintenance Field Assistant/Driver Wolfe & Associates, Property Services - 3.8 Santa Barbara, CA Job Details Full-time $23 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health savings account Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Employee discount Life insurance Referral program Retirement plan Qualifications Microsoft Outlook English Property maintenance Driver's License Microsoft Outlook Calendar Facilities routine maintenance Full Job Description Mission of Position The Maintenance Field Assistant/Driver provides assistance to all of the company departments with deliveries, pickups, posting notices, making keys and a variety of tasks as needed. Assists Supply Manager with deliveries and stocking supplies, backs up the Maintenance Coordinator as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliveries/Pick-ups for techs and office as needed.
- Posting notices
- Daily pulling of keys and attach to service orders for maintenance men and vendors.
- Make copies of keys as needed.
- Daily filling paper trays for copiers, printers, and fax.
- Dropping off mail from the bin on way home each day.
- Daily assistance with parts checkout to maintenance technicians.
- Assist when office cleaner is absent to fill paper towels, toilet paper and empty waste and recycling bins.
- Responsible for keeping company vehicles used in proper condition and appropriately clean.
- Assist as needed with retrieving calls from the previous night left on the maintenance department phone line. Create work orders and return calls to tenants to confirm requests were received.
- Back up for Maintenance Coordinator Assistant as needed.
- Assist as needed to communicate with vendors on outstanding work orders and update as needed.
- Assist Techs as needed with light maintenance such as to install Water Heaters and Appliances.
- Make/Coordinate all keys for turnover.
- Assist with lock changes as needed.
- Assist Supply Manager stocking warehouse.
- Special projects as assigned by the Director of Maintenance, Maintenance Coordinator, HR Manager, Vice President, or President.
Qualifications:
- Is committed to stable, full-time employment
- Is able to work without direct supervision to the completion of the assigned job; and
- Has a valid California driver's license, and a "clean" DMV record.
- Regular and prompt attendance
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
Skills Required:
- Light maintenance skills and some basic tools required.
- The Maintenance Field Assistant must have the ability to adapt to changes in priority so that deadlines are met in a timely fashion (you may be pulled from the midst of one job and sent to another with a higher priority.)
- Ability to read and write English (Spanish is helpful) and legible handwriting. Good verbal communication skills are required as interaction with various staff members. Basic Microsoft Outlook Calendar and Email skills.
- This position requires a neat, clean, and professional appearance.
- A "can do" attitude is essential.
