AND GROUNDS MAINTENANCE PURPOSE

Performs maintenance in school buildings and grounds; maintains equipment in optimal condition; and provides assistance with custodial, students, teachers, visitors and others as necessary. Performs related duties and general maintenance work as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Help keep the campus clean by picking up trash and pulling weeds Mow lawns and help keep grass areas looking nice Set up spaces for sports, events, and school activities Drive district vehicles to different work locations (if eligible) Use basic tools and equipment like mowers and trimmers Help remove snow when needed Respond to urgent clean-up or safety needs Help with basic repairs and upkeep of school buildings Assist with irrigation (sprinkler) systems Set up rooms and spaces for indoor events Move equipment, furniture, and supplies as needed Help unload deliveries and organize supplies Work with and support custodial staff

Ability to successfully and cooperatively fulfill assigned responsibilities Maintain good attendance Work as a positive team member Ability to accept a variety of assignments, in various settings and with several individuals

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and some fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires minimal sitting, 40% walking, and 60% standing. The job is performed under some temperature extremes and a generally hazard free environment.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Position is per Weld County School District Re-8 calendar To be determined by the Director of Support Services or designee; (6:00 am•4:30 pm) during the summer. Position may include weekend work. All agreements for employment of personnel shall be subject to the approval of the Board of Education. No smoking is allowed in any Weld County School District Re-8 buildings. Selected applicant(s) must comply with the District's Drug-Free Workplace policy.
