Job Description
Apply Job Type Full-time Description The Facilities Technician repairs, replaces or installs items relating to maintenance or improvement of OCR facilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Performs and rounds routinely checking the operation and safety of the mechanical systems. Completes assigned preventative/corrective work orders in a timely manner. Inspects, troubleshoots and repairs various system, equipment, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) units, electrical, and other mechanical units efficiently. Keeps record of maintenance up-to-date. This includes work orders, timesheets, preventative maintenance cards, equipment startup and shutdown procedures, corrective maintenance records and other government required records. Includes the supervision and coordination of system work subcontracted to other businesses. Attends project meetings, where applicable. Coordinates facilities projects with internal resources and vendors. Provides guidance and mentorship to seasonal helpers. Ensures compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations. Completes assigned regulatory documentation. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent. Three to five years of experience in similar position or trade preferred. Must have knowledge of standard maintenance tools, equipment and materials. Manual skills in use of various hand and power tools. Proficient mechanical skills. Basic understand and knowledge of HVAC, basic equipment operations, and preventative maintenance schedules. Ability to perform a variety of tasks efficiently. Ability to perform mathematical arithmetical calculations including fractions and decimals. Ability to follow read, write, and interpret technical instructions. On call and afterhours work on scheduled and as needed basis. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Property management or maintenance certification a plus. Core Competencies Job Knowledge
