Job Description

Continental is seeking a motivated, experienced, and detailed
Full Time Professional Painter/ Maintenance Assistant:
for our luxury apartment community- One Glastonbury Place in Glastonbury, CT. You will work to make ready apartment homes during unit turns & continuously keep buildings looking fresh throughout the property. If you're seeking a fast-paced work environment with a friendly team atmosphere, look no further! We are looking for candidates that not only have detailed experience painting, but can also perform the necessary preparations required prior to painting including: Patching Spackling Fill nail holes, cracks, and joints with putty, plaster, or other filler Carpet cleaning Maintaining a clean and professional work space. Skills Required for this
Position:
Knowledge of equipment, materials, method, practices, and tools used in painting trade Ability to properly apply paints Knowledge of and ability to match colors Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to work independently Time-Management skills Highly Detailed Assist with routine maintenance and repair requests throughout the property Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner Perform basic plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, and carpentry repairs Help prepare vacant apartments/units for new residents, including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and common areas Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance shops, storage areas, and equipment Assist with preventative maintenance programs and seasonal property upkeep Respond to maintenance emergencies as needed Support snow removal, trash removal, and general groundskeeping duties Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies and safety standards Communicate professionally with residents, vendors, and team members Help monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and notify supervisor when materials need replenishing Assist senior maintenance staff with larger repair projects and property improvements Our ideal candidate takes immense pride in their work, no matter how small the job.   • Candidates must be able to work independently with minimum supervision, but also be able to work well with a team.
  • Candidates must have their own reliable transportation.
  • Candidates should be prepared to work indoors as well as outdoors, as long as weather conditions allow.
  • Compensation will be based on experience as well as job performance.
