Job Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Responsible for performing routine highway maintenance such as trimming of grass, weed eating of grass and light pruning of shrubs around guardrails and signage, litter and trash pickup, assemble and distribute recycling containers, assist Traffic division with line painting and sign installation.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience performing heavy manual work. Applicant must be 18 years old.
LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE
A valid Connecticut Driver's License.
WORK SCHEDULE
Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for spring and summer months (May through October). See www.newingtonct.gov for job description, other duties and qualifications.
