Control number 873574200 This job is open to Help The public U.S. Citizens, Nionals or those who owe allegiance to the U.S. Duties Help The incumbent serves as a Maintenance Mechanic Assistant Supervisor, and shares responsibility with the Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor for planning, scheduling, and coordining work operions; and solving problems reled to the work performed by Pipefitters, Insulors, Welders, Air Conditioning Equipment Mechanics, Industrial Equipment Mechanics, Maintenance Mechanic Workers, and/or Maintenance Mechanic Helpers in the Mechanical Systems Branch. The tour of duty is Monday-Friday 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Note:
This position is emergency essential - Depending on the type of emergency the employee may be required to report to work during emergency situions. The Maintenance Mechanic Assistant Supervisor is required to report to work during emergencies and inclement weher situions. Tour of duty may include holidays and weekends on a regular or recurring basis. Roting shift work may also be required management's discretion. Duties include, but are not limited to: Participe with the Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor in performing administrive and technical supervisory functions for subordines. Assign duties to subordines, and assist in evaluing their performance. Develop performance requirements for subordines and ensure a mutual understanding of the performance standards. Resolve complaints and grievances as deleged by higher level supervisors. Provides leadership to ensure support for equal employment opportunity (EEO) goals and requirements. Make recommendions to the Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor concerning personnel mters such as employment and promotion; initie disciplinary actions; schedule and approve leave; and keep time and tendance records. Make preventive maintenance inspections, major overhauls, installions and emergency repairs to exhaust fans, steam opered kitchen equipment, heing equipment, air conditioning and refrigerion equipment, humidifiers, pneumic or digital controls, hot wer generors, and other equipment. Assist with the installion, maintenance, and repair of high temperure wer and high-pressure piping systems such as, steam heing, and steam-genering systems. Work with Plumbers and Pipefitters and A/C Equipment Mechanics to perform required maintenance, inspections and repairs. Order and accept deliveries, counts stock, and loads and unloads trucks.
