This position is responsible for performing routine repairs, completing preventive maintenance, and helping ensure the building remains safe, clean, functional, and comfortable for residents, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate is skilled in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, can assist with minor landscaping needs, and is comfortable working independently while walking the building daily with tools and supplies to address maintenance issues as they arise. Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily building walk-throughs to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve maintenance issues in common areas, resident rooms, and support spaces.
- Complete preventive maintenance service on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems according to schedule.
- Respond promptly to routine maintenance requests and building service calls.
- Conduct minor repairs including changing filters, replacing light bulbs and fixtures, repairing leaks, unclogging drains, tightening hardware, and addressing basic electrical issues.
- Monitor the condition of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and report larger repair needs or safety concerns.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies in clean and working condition.
- Assist with minor landscaping and exterior upkeep as needed to help maintain the property's appearance and safety.
- Support painting, touch-up work, furniture moves, and general building upkeep as assigned.
- Follow all safety procedures, building codes, and company policies while completing maintenance tasks.
- Provide courteous and respectful service to residents, families, staff, and visitors in a senior living environment. Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or property maintenance preferred.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repair practices.
