Clearwater, FL Job Details Part-time $17 - $20 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Forklift Certification Forklift Company vehicle operation Driver's License Industrial equipment Mechanical knowledge Full Job Description Summary This position is primarily responsible for assisting the Operations team with shredding operations, facility upkeep, equipment maintenance, warehouse organization, and general operational support. The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, dependable, and comfortable working around machinery and industrial equipment. This role requires someone willing to step in wherever needed to help maintain efficient day-to-day operations throughout the facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Shredding & Operational Support Assists with daily shredding operations and material processing. Operates shredding and baling equipment safely and efficiently after proper training. Sorts and prepares material for shredding and disposal. Assists with loading and unloading materials, containers, pallets, and carts. Helps maintain security and confidentiality of customer materials by following all company policies and procedures. Assists drivers and warehouse staff with operational tasks as needed. Provides general support to Operations staff during large projects, pickups, or facility needs. Facility & Equipment Maintenance Performs general warehouse cleaning and organization. Maintains cleanliness around shredding equipment and work areas. Assists with shredder maintenance, lubrication, and basic preventative maintenance. Replaces light bulbs and performs minor building repairs. Assists with basic electrical troubleshooting and simple maintenance tasks. Helps maintain rolling carts, pallet jacks, shelving, ladders, and other facility equipment. Identifies and reports maintenance or safety concerns to management. Assists with facility improvement projects and miscellaneous operational tasks. Safety & Security Follows all company safety policies and procedures. Uses appropriate PPE and safety equipment at all times. Maintains awareness of surroundings when operating near machinery and moving equipment. Reports unsafe conditions or equipment issues immediately. Maintains strict confidentiality and security standards regarding customer materials and company property. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, use hands and arms, and work around moving machinery. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without assistance. The employee may occasionally push or pull heavy carts, bins, pallets, or containers. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work may be performed in warehouse environments with varying temperatures, dust, noise, and moving mechanical equipment. Certificates, Licenses, and Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred. Must be comfortable operating company vehicles and equipment when necessary. Forklift experience or certification is a plus, but not required. Mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use hand and power tools preferred.
