Maintenance Worker I- Golf (Part Time) (55172) Golf Course - Cocoa Beach, FL 32932 Apply Overview Job Shift Any Education Level Not Specified Apply Description Part time position to include weekends and holidays starting at $18.07/hour.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB
Under direct supervision, performs unskilled to semi-skilled work maintaining grounds at the City Golf Course. Work involves mowing and maintaining golf course tees, fairways, rough, lake banks, greens, and sand traps, and equipment used. Utilizes all equipment and tools necessary to maintain golf course. Employee is also responsible for assisting in course set up and policing grounds for debris, as necessary. Reports to the Golf Course Superintendent.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Operates light tractors, specialized mowing equipment and string trimmers; mows tee boxes, fairways, rough and greens. Performs various grounds maintenance duties including watering greens, raking sand traps, aerating greens, edging cart paths and sand traps, etc.; plants sod in bare spots on golf course, as instructed; prunes trees. Assists in setting up course by changing pin and tee placements; replaces tee towels; maintains golf ball washers. Polices golf course and grounds around clubhouse and pro shop, picking up papers, cans, bottles and other debris, as necessary.

Performs other related work as required. Qualifications
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Graduation from high school and 1 to 2 years of experience in landscape maintenance work, preferably on a golf course; or any combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
