Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic facilities maintenance team as a Maintenance Assistant, where your skills and enthusiasm will keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently. This vital role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of maintenance tasks, ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our facilities. Whether you're passionate about mechanical systems, electrical work, or residential painting, this position provides a lively environment for hands-on problem solving and continuous learning. Your contributions will directly impact the comfort and safety of our team members and customers alike. Duties Assist with routine and preventive maintenance across multiple facility areas, including mechanical systems, electrical components, and structural elements Use schematics and technical drawings to troubleshoot and repair equipment or infrastructure issues effectively Operate tools such as welders and ohmmeters to diagnose electrical problems and perform repairs with precision Support manufacturing or operational processes by maintaining machinery, ensuring minimal downtime Conduct residential painting tasks to maintain the appearance of facilities, adhering to safety standards Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule future tasks Supervise or assist in supervising junior team members or contractors during maintenance projects while ensuring safety compliance Apply mechanical knowledge and electrical experience to resolve complex issues promptly, maintaining high standards of quality and safety Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related fields such as manufacturing or building services Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in schematics and technical diagrams Electrical experience including working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and using tools like ohmmeters Skilled in welding techniques for repair or fabrication tasks Experience with residential painting projects is a plus for aesthetic upkeep tasks Demonstrated leadership or supervising experience in a maintenance environment Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration Ability to operate specialized tools such as welders, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment confidently Knowledge of CMMS software for maintenance tracking and reporting Embark on a rewarding career where your expertise fuels operational excellence!
