Job Description

Overview We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Worker to join our team and help keep our facility in top condition. This role involves performing a wide range of maintenance tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our property. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, some basic electrical and plumbing for small repairs and general upkeep activities. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems like ac mini splits, generator, various machine needing filter change Organize maintenance shop and keep it clean. Report to the office any supplies needing reorder Maintain pathways, patios, and retaining walls to ensure safety and visual appeal. Keep those free of weeds. Keep outdoor furniture and grills clean. Pressure clean concrete surfaces as needed Maintain the dog stations and re-supply bags Manage the pickup of trash daily and keep dumpster rooms clean. Take the dumpsters out on garbage days Support general facility upkeep by cleaning, painting, replace electrical fixtures and light bulbs, adjust doors to name a few and performing minor repairs as needed Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience using hand tools and power tools effectively Familiarity with irrigation systems and pool system Strong work ethic with the ability to follow safety protocols diligently Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges Be able to determine if the owners need to contact a vendor or contractor for a repair. Supervise work being done Report daily to the office items needing attention and report status of repairs in progress Follow up with work orders and report when completed Be available for emergencies 24/7, like clean up after hurricane or flooding inside the building Must be able to lift fifty pounds or more and push heavy dumpsters We are a 127 units condominium on five acres property. The list above is only a few items, every day will be different. We require the applicant to have a personal smart phone to contact the office or the owners by calling or texting to report any found issues, and vice versa. Pay is negotiable according to experience. After 90 days, we offer six paid holidays a year, two sick days a year, seven vacation days after one year and a medical allowance of $250 a month. We will do a background check and drug test. Prior job references are a plus.
