L.C., is a family owned and operated real estate investment and management business. We own and manage 35 rental apartment communities throughout New Jersey and one in Deerfield Beach, Florida. We are currently seeking a Maintenance person for Limetree Apartments, our beautiful 184-unit garden apartment community in Deerfield Beach, FL. This is an excellent opportunity for the right person! Our Maintenance person works closely with the Superintendent to provide outstanding customer service to our residents. This includes, when on call, must be able to be on-site for emergencies within 30 minutes. Duties will include but are not limited to the following:
  • Prepare apartments for rental; complete apartment turnover checklist; ensure timely completion of turnover deadlines
  • Patch, repair, replace, and finish drywall, including texture matching and painting
  • Build and repair drywall soffits for plumbing, electrical, or structural access
  • Perform carpentry tasks, including the installation of new doors and baseboards, and repair or replace interior woodwork during unit turnovers and general maintenance
  • Repair and maintain plumbing, electrical (basic), HVAC (basic), drywall, flooring, painting, appliances, and general building components
  • Replace water heaters, disposals, appliances, etc.
  • Respond promptly to resident service requests while providing professional customer service
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce emergency calls and equipment failures
  • Complete after-hours emergency service as part of the on-call rotation
  • Assist and provide coverage for other maintenance team members as needed during vacations, absences, or high-workload periods to ensure uninterrupted property operations.
Qualifications include the following:
  • Must have the ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, which includes but not limited to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders and stairs, walking, kneeling, standing, squatting, twisting and bending for periods of time, and working in tight spaces.
  • Must have hands-on drywall experience, including patching, finishing, texture matching, and soffit construction
  • Proven unit turnover experience, preferably in a multifamily/apartment environment
  • Multifamily maintenance experience strongly preferred
  • One year experience in maintenance for multi-family housing community.
  • Complete paperwork as needed.
  • Must have ability to effectively and professionally communicate with residents and co-workers.
  • Must have written and verbal command of the English language; Spanish is a plus

    • Technical diploma, vocational training, or apprenticeship preferred
    • Must own and maintain your own hand tools
    • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
    • On-call rotation, evenings and weekends as needed
    • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States EOE
