Semi-skilled manual work in maintaining and repairing streets, sidewalks, storm drains, catch basins and swale areas. Work is performed under general supervision and may require employee to operate motor vehicles and power driven equipment. Does related work as required. Essential Job Duties These essential job functions are not to be construed as a complete statement of all duties performed. Employees will be required to perform other job-related marginal duties as required. Removes broken and cracked concrete. Forms, grades, pours and finishes concrete; strips forms. Cuts and removes damaged asphalt. Levels ground with rock and replaces with hot asphalt and rolls it with a roller. Grades shell rock roads using loader or tractor with box blade. Cuts and re-sods swale areas. Repairs, maintains and constructs storm drains using power tools and heavy equipment. Cleans up canals. Maintains and services equipment. Minimum Qualifications High school graduation or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma. One (1) year construction experience including six (6) months in concrete or asphalt construction.

certification within one year of date of hire. Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License, Class B, CDL, with Air Brake endorsement, within six months from hire.
