A leading Commercial Property Management company is seeking a Building Maintenance Person in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to visit properties in Broward and West Palm Beach counties and perform duties as requested by property manager. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall upkeep, repair, and maintenance of commercial and residential properties. This role ensures that all buildings, systems, and equipment are operating efficiently and safely while maintaining a high standard of appearance and functionality.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintain common areas, including landscaping, dumpster areas, parking lots, hallways, and shared facilities when on property.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general carpentry.
- Perform general repairs including plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Prior experience in both commercial and residential property maintenance.
- Support emergency maintenance situations as needed, including after-hours calls.
- Complete work orders efficiently and accurately, maintaining detailed records of work performed.
- Must have your own tools and reliable transportation.
- Valid driver's license
- Candidate must be trustworthy, honest and independent.
- Must have good communication skills. Work area is in Broward County and West Palm Beach.
- Maintain accurate records for preventative maintenance-building mechanicals, service requests, and apartment-make ready status.
