MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent. One year of experience in a maintenance related trade. Valid Florida drivers license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Valid Florida Class A commercial drivers license (CDL) with air brakes endorsement. Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy minimum qualifications.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of pertinent regulations, policies, and procedures for the functional area of assignment. Knowledge of HIPAA, Public Records, Sunshine Law, FERPA, and other laws/regulations related to student and employee privacy, public information, and records retention. Knowledge of and experience with industry-standard equipment, materials, practices, computers, and applications. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to professionally and effectively respond to customer needs and requests for service or assistance. Ability to perform a variety of entry-level trades skills. Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints desirable. Ability to comply with the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse requirements.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Perform manual and semi-skilled work and/or assist in a variety of skilled trades. Determine, secure, and use appropriate equipment, materials, and parts in a cost-effective manner. Perform routine duties involving the repair and maintenance of tools and equipment District-wide. Comply with applicable safety regulations and procedures. Use chemicals appropriate to assigned repair and maintenance tasks. Operate necessary equipment that, depending on the assignment, may include a box blade, bulldozer, front-end loader, jackhammer, trencher, grinder, personnel lift, scissor lift, hand tools, sander, dump truck, flatbed, bucket truck, fork lift, etc. Utilize basic District computer applications for communication, training, and record keeping. Register with the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse. Maintain driver and CDL licensure and required endorsements if applicable. Any job-related duties as assigned.
