The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Visual Arts department on the Gainesville campus. A Studio Monitor is responsible for overseeing daily operations within studio spaces, ensuring a safe, clean, and organized environment for student use. They monitor equipment and facilities, enforce studio policies, and report any safety concerns or maintenance needs. The role includes assisting students with basic tools and processes while maintaining accountability for shared resources. Strong communication, reliability, and attention to detail are essential for supporting an effective and respectful studio workspace. Supervise studio spaces to ensure safe use and enforce policies Maintain cleanliness, organization, and shared equipment Report safety issues, damages, and maintenance needs Assist students and support general studio operations Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Studio safety procedures and policies Basic tools, materials, and equipment use Clean-up and maintenance standards Reliability and responsibility Attention to detail Clear communication Initiative and teamwork Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
