Job Description

Looking for an all around maintenance worker that is a Jack of all trades, and a master of Some!! A vehicle to take home in case of emergency situations. SUMMARY:
Position includes the performance of a variety of tasks related to building maintenance, repair of equipment/machinery, plumbing, electricity, furniture and vehicles. Will assists the Maintenance Supervisor with the maintenance, repair and renovation of the buildings and grounds. Other forms of activities are related to maintaining the grounds and related equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Accepts, on a daily basis, work assignments from the Maintenance Supervisor. Performs routine maintenance tasks to include, but not limited to: Structural repairs/renovations masonry woodwork lighting fixtures air conditioning equipment plumbing/heating painting remodeling grounds keeping vehicle repair Refers work problems to the Maintenance Supervisor for solutions and/or options. Performs preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled or assigned. Reports all fire/safety/hazardous conditions immediately to the Maintenance Supervisor Suggests changes in work assignments and use of equipment to the Maintenance Supervisor to increase efficiency. Performs other duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EXPERIENCE
Education -High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred, but not required. Level 2 background check and drug screen must be passed. Experience Demonstrated ability in repair and maintenance areas including mechanics, carpentry, electricity, heating and air conditioning. Some automobile repair experience is helpful.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Florida driver license with safe driver rating required.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to deal courteously, tactfully and efficiently with staff members and the general public. Emotional stability and maturity with a genuine interest in working with program participants. Knowledge of life safety and safe driving protocols. Willingness to comply with in-service, training or other mandates. Mechanical aptitude. Knowledge of building maintenance requirements. Ability to work independently or unsupervised.
