Job Description

Brevard County is an EEO and Veteran's Preference employer. Full Time Open Until Filled. $18.88 to $20.77 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. North Area/Titusville. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Performs experienced service maintenance work operating moderately complex automotive vehicles or equipment and performing routine automotive service and maintenance.
REQUIREMENTS
: One (1) year of experience operating moderately complex automotive vehicles and equipment such as ten-wheel dump trucks used for hauling materials to and from a project site or mowing equipment, such as a tractor A-boom slope mower used to mow ditch banks, road shoulders, and vertical mowing of right-of-way vegetation. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. Experience in construction and maintenance of roads, drainage, and sidewalk infrastructure, and a work management system that includes tasks such as opening and closing work orders and uploading photo documentation is preferred.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida Class B Commercial Driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. This is heavy physical work performed outdoors and involves exposure to construction debris, moving machinery, traffic, extreme weather conditions, noise, dirt, dust, and water. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
