We are seeking a motivated and hardworking Marine Service Yard Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting yard operations such as boat handling/moving, washing, launching, hauling, and general upkeep of a busy Marine Service Department. This is a great opportunity for someone eager to learn and grow in the marine industry and gain hands-on experience with Certified Marine Technicians. We are certified dealers for Mercury, Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, Tohatsu, and Johnson/Evinrude/BRP. Experience with these manufactures is preferred, but not required for this position. Boathouse Discount Marine, LLC is a drug- and alcohol-free workplace. A drug test is required to complete the application process. Applicants must have a clean driving record.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist customers with drop-off and pick-up of their boats
- Clean and prepare boats for customer delivery
- Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces
- Move, launch, and haul boats using yard equipment (forklifts, service vehicles, etc.)
- Keep yard and Service Department neat, clean, and organized
- Perform general yard maintenance
- Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements Include:
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in marine systems
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and work as part of a team
- Experience operating forklifts is a plus (training will be provided)
