Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team Monday-Friday 8AM-4PM. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance and demonstrate proficiency in various technical skills. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation of equipment, performing repairs, and maintaining a safe and functional environment for all staff and customers. Responsibilities Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance. Perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems as needed. Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLC) for troubleshooting and maintenance tasks. Execute welding tasks for structural repairs and modifications. Interpret schematics to effectively diagnose issues and implement solutions. Assist in residential painting projects to maintain aesthetic appeal of facilities. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Provide excellent customer service by addressing maintenance-related inquiries promptly and professionally. Supervise junior maintenance staff, providing guidance and support as necessary. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations across the facility. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems. Electrical experience is highly desirable, including familiarity with ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools. Previous supervisory experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Knowledge of manufacturing processes is beneficial. A customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on quality work.
