Perform routine cleaning and lubrication of ophthalmic equipment such as lens edgers, slit lamps, autorefractors, phoropters, and other clinical devices. Replace simple components (e.g., bulbs, filters, pads, belts, covers, tubing) following standard procedures. Conduct daily and weekly preventive maintenance checks based on equipment checklists. Assist with basic mechanical adjustments to support smooth operation. Wipe down and sanitize equipment surfaces to maintain hygiene and optical clarity. Monitor equipment performance and report issues to senior technicians or supervisors. Organize maintenance tools and supplies; maintain accurate documentation of completed tasks. Assist with setup, positioning, or relocation of equipment in exam rooms or labs. Follow all safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines for routine maintenance tasks.
