Job Description

Keep your community running strong—join our team as a Maintenance Worker, Utilities! We're looking for a dependable and motivated individual with a high school diploma (or equivalent) and at least one year of work experience. Education and Experience:
An equivalent combination of relevant training, education and experience: High school diploma or equivalent One (1) year of work experience Licenses and/or
Certificates:
Must maintain a valid driver's license. As a Maintenance Worker at West Port you will conduct routine grounds maintenance and assist with painting, light carpentry, and other tasks related to the upkeep and appearance of facilities. You will inspect and perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment, ensuring all are in proper working condition. You will also maintain accurate records and logs and keep the work areas clean and organized while completing general housekeeping duties. Daily, you will pick up/deliver samples to the laboratory for testing. Collaborate with other departments and staff as needed, and provided exceptional customer service by assisting with inquiries, resolving issues, and addressing concerns through various forms of communication.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Stooping, crouching, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, hearing, seeing up close, seeing far away, kneeling, reaching, pushing, talking, standing, finger movement, repetitive motions, depth perception. Frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds; occasional lifting over 50 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is exposed to outdoor weather conditions or irate customers, extreme noise, odors, heights, and/or dust.

The position requires moderate exposure or risk related to physical and/or mental health and safety (e.g., exposure to environmentally hazardous material, heavy equipment, assault and battery, communicable disease, etc.). To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily.
