Job Summary:

Maintains the cleanliness of the grounds and facilities under limited supervision, assisting in a wide variety of maintenance activities. Assists skilled maintenance and trades as needed on a daily, weekly, and/or quarterly basis as directed. Works independently.

Essential Duties:

1. Performs routine maintenance on grounds areas as needed and/or assigned for the purpose of providing an effective working environment and preventing damage 2. Performs a wide variety of routine and semiskilled maintenance activities and completes projects within established time frames 3. Assist skilled maintenance workers with projects (ie; transporting and/or securing materials, completing specific tasks) for the purpose of completing projects 4. Coordinates with trade supervisor(s) for transporting and/or securing materials to complete specific projects on boats as assigned 5. Maintains assigned tools and equipment for the purpose of ensuring availability in safe operating condition. 6. Performs minor repairs as assigned 7. Follow defined instructions and procedures in performance of tasks. 8. Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe, clean work area. 9. Perform other related duties as necessary. Qualifications High school or general equivalency degree (GED) required. Maintenance experience and basic reading, math and writing skills Knowledge and operation of basic hand and power tools such as wrench, pliers, tape, basic mechanic tool set and portable drill. Tools, other than power, must be furnished by employee. Able to use a hand held radio Must have a clean driving record

Physical Requirements:

Lift and carry up to 80 lbs on an occasional basis (over 15% and up to 40%). Requires frequent lifting or moving average weight material. Must be able to stoop, bend, kneel, lift, push and pull. Requires frequent mental and visual attention on an intermittent basis. Works under agreeable conditions with exposure to any number of elements (dust, dirt, heat, fumes, cold, vibration, noise, water or chemicals), but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable.

Other Requirements:

Valid Vehicle Driver's License Requires flexibility to work evenings, nights, and weekends, as necessary, to complete responsibilities of position. Periodic overtime may be required.
