About the
Role:
The Utility Worker plays a critical role in maintaining and supporting the operational efficiency of various facilities and infrastructure within the organization. This position involves performing a wide range of manual and technical tasks that ensure the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of work environments. The Utility Worker will collaborate with different departments to assist in maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep, contributing to a smooth and productive workplace. This role requires adaptability, physical stamina, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues as they arise. Ultimately, the Utility Worker helps create a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment that supports the overall mission and goals of the organization.Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to perform physical labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a utility, maintenance, or custodial role. Basic understanding of safety regulations and procedures. Ability to operate light machinery or equipment.Responsibilities:
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and restroom sanitation to ensure a clean and safe environment. Assist with minor repairs and maintenance of equipment, facilities, and grounds, reporting any major issues to the appropriate personnel. Load and unload materials, supplies, and equipment, ensuring proper storage and handling to maintain organization and safety standards. Support setup and breakdown of workspaces, events, or projects as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a hazard-free workplace and comply with regulatory requirements.Skills:
The required skills enable the Utility Worker to efficiently perform cleaning, maintenance, and manual tasks that keep facilities operational and safe. Physical stamina and attention to detail are essential for handling daily duties such as equipment upkeep and workspace organization.
