Position Summary The Maintenance Aide supports the Maintenance Director and maintenance team by performing routine maintenance, safety checks, and basic repairs to ensure a safe, clean, and well‑maintained environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Responsibilities Assist with routine preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment, and resident rooms as directed. Perform basic repairs such as minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks within scope of training. Complete daily safety and environmental checks, promptly reporting hazards, damage, or equipment malfunctions. Help maintain the facility grounds, including trash removal, light landscaping, and snow/ice removal as applicable. Respond to maintenance work orders and requests in a timely and courteous manner. Assist with moving furniture, setting up rooms, and preparing areas for events or activities. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition. Follow all infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines while performing duties. Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director or facility management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior maintenance or building services experience required. Long‑term care/skilled nursing (LTC/SNF) experience preferred. Basic knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry) and use of hand/power tools. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and prioritize multiple tasks. Strong customer service skills and a resident‑focused attitude.
