Job Description
Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Assistant to maintain the physical property of the Church, assist with worship service program as needed, and special event set-up as required. This position requires attention to specific responsibilities critical to the daily operation of the Church plan. Duties Maintain Church facility and all equipment in good condition. Assist in maintaining and addressing any issues identified at the parsonage. Under supervision of the Church Administrator, give general oversight to the maintenance program and cleaning plan as developed by the Trustees, closely communicating with the Church Administrator these activities. Assist as directed by the Church Administrator and the Safety Team Leader in security of church property by locking and unlocking exterior access doors at the beginning and end of a service or event. Set-up and breakdown for special events. Order custodial supplies as needed. Work closely with all church staff to satisfy requests including worship arts and hospitality. Qualifications Be a highly disciplined self-starter of good moral and Christian character. Must be able to coordinate and work with contracted services and volunteers. Must have adequate knowledge to assist and maintain a clean facility for all church activities. Reliable and dependable transportation is required.
