Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Valid Florida Driver's License and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment. Keep Our Parks Safe and Beautiful. Join the Palm Beach County Parks Maintenance Team. This is a great opportunity to work indoors and outdoors and be part of a hands-on operations team where you will: Contribute to clean, safe, and welcoming facilities by maintaining interior and exterior spaces with care and reliability. The work directly supports positive visitor experiences. Perform routine park and natural area maintenance and facility care. Play a key role in event and facility readiness by setting up and breaking down equipment, completing safety checks, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Assist with removing palm fronds and general upkeep around the outdoors of facilities Help facilitate programs, events, and services for visitors. Help the operations TEAM complete maintenance and minor repairs to park amenities. Be part of a hardworking operations team that cares about West Jupiter Recreation Center and park amenities. YOUR ROLE AND IMPACT
As the Maintenance Worker I, you will: Assist with the operation, upkeep, and maintenance of park facilities, both indoors and outdoors. Perform routine maintenance tasks and minor repairs to keep facilities and equipment safe and functional. Support visitor use by preparing and maintaining areas for groups and events. QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified applicants to possess the following: Minimum of six (6) months of experience in general laboring work, including construction, maintenance, service, and activities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include (must specify on application) : Customer service experience handling concerns/complaints, and Valid First Aid/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Certification.
