The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in facilities maintenance, mechanical and electrical systems, and hands-on skills such as painting, plumbing, etc. This role offers an engaging opportunity to contribute to the upkeep and safety of our infrastructure, ensuring smooth daily operations across various environments, including manufacturing and residential settings. The Maintenance Assistant will work closely with team leaders to perform routine inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance while demonstrating excellent customer service and communication skills. Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to identify issues and ensure operational efficiency. Perform maintenance tasks such as electrical repairs, and troubleshooting using schematics and technical diagrams. Assist with facilities maintenance projects, including residential painting, equipment installation, and repairs. Support manufacturing facilities by maintaining machinery, ensuring safety standards are met, and minimizing downtime. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule preventative tasks. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, building codes, and environmental regulations at all times. Experience Prior experience in facilities maintenance or manufacturing environments is highly desirable. Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or Assisted Living Facility strongly preferred. Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with proficiency in schematics interpretation and troubleshooting electrical systems. Strong customer service skills combined with effective communication in English are essential for interacting with team members and stakeholders. Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
